Unit 7 : Mạo từ a, an, the [Ngữ pháp bổ trợ Part 2 - Describe a picture]

Hôm nay cô trò mình sẽ cùng học một chủ điểm rất quan trọng – Mạo từ (Article) rất hay gặp trong giao tiếp tiếng Anh, học tiếng Anh giao tiếp - Format TOEIC Speaking đó.

Mạo từ gồm có a, an, the và được đặt ở trước danh từ.

I. Chức năng mạo từ "a, an"

Dùng cho danh từ đếm được số ít.mạo từ a đứng trước danh từ bắt đầu bằng phụ âm ,an đứng trước danh từ  bắt đầu bằng nguyên âm(a,e,i,u,o)
·       There is a red cup
·       I can see a university student at the classroom
·       Lưu ý: đối với những từ bắt đầu bằng nguyên âm u và được phát âm là /ju/, ví dụ như từ university/ju:niv3’∂ti/ thì phải sử dụng mạo từ a.

II. Chức năng mạo từ "The"

Dùng cho danh từ đếm được và không đếm được, số ít và số nhiều.Mạo từ the được sử dụng trong các trường hợp sau đây:

1.   Khi đề cập đến danh từ đã được nói đến trước đó
·       There is a man in the street and the man is wearing a suit.
2.   Trước những danh từ chỉ vật thể duy nhất trên thế giới
·       We are living on the earth.
3.   Trước tên nhạc cụ
·       Can you play the violin?
--> Đàn violin là nhạc cụ mà ai cũng biết
 
·       There are two women. One has a violin and the other has a guitar.
---> Khi muốn đề cập đến khái niệm về số như ví dụ trên đây,không sử dụng mạo từ the

*Nội dung xác định: Không  phải lúc nào cũng đạt mạo từ the trước tên nhạc cụ

4.   Trong cấu trúc so sánh nhất
·       It is the most important thing

5.   Trước số thứ tự
·       The first speaker is Mr.Wilbu  Kramer

03 Trường hợp không sử dụng mạo từ the

1. Tên nước,thành phố ,cửa hang,tên người,tên sách,tên phim ảnh,ngày trong  tuần

·       I  live in Seoul and my name is Brian Costa

·       The seminar will be held on Monday

2. Các môn thể thao

There we went shopping in  Harrods, visited  Tower and enjoyed a sunny afternoon in  Hyde Park. On the following day we left for  New York.  time on board wasn't boring as there were two films to watch on  monitor.  people on  plane were all  Italian. Before we landed at  JFK airport, we saw  Statue of Liberty,  Ellis Island and  Empire State Building.  hotel I stayed in was on  corner of 42nd Street and  5th Avenue.
